ABL notes that the Fenris field, which is located 31 miles north of Valhall, will be developed as an unmanned installation. The Valhall PWP-Fenris development project will enable a lifetime extension of the Valhall field by adding a new central platform, PWP, bridge-linked to the existing Valhall PH platform. A total of 55 wells are planned in the area. The Yggdrasil area development will be comprised of the Hugin A processing platform with well area and living quarters, the Hugin B normally unmanned wellhead platform, the Munin unmanned production platform, and an extensive subsea development with a total of nine templates, pipelines and umbilicals, said ABL. The multi-field development is located on the Norwegian continental shelf approximately 99.4 miles west of Kollsnes, near Bergen, in water depths of 360-390 feet, the statement reads. Yggdrasil, formerly known as NOAKA, consists of the Hugin, Fulla and Munin licence groups, and the area is located between Alvheim and Oseberg. Project execution already commenced in January 2023 with transportation and installation operations planned to be carried out in 2024, 20, ABL said in its statement. The company has been awarded the job by Aker BP, with the price tag remaining undisclosed. ABL Group will provide marine warranty services for the transportation and installation operations relating to the Yggdrasil and Valhall PWP-Fenris offshore field development projects.
